BPS of Sumatera Utara Province held Launching of Economic Census 2016 result accompanied by UMB and UMK Economic Census 2016 Socialization at Hotel Grand Mercure Medan on May 24, 2017. In the activity themed "Measure Economic Strength of Sumatera Utara Province" it is known that in 10 years business growth in Sumatera Utara increased by 11.52%. Head of BPS-Sumatera Utara Province, Syech Suhaimi said that "The data generated from the SE2016 listing activities can provide an overview of the economic condition of Sumatera Utara in all business fields outside the field of agricultural business. SE2016 data collection can be the first step to measure the power of Sumatera Utara economy outside the field of agricultural business completely ".
